Wordpress vs. Blogspot

I don't remember when I created my first account on wordpress. I kept on fogetting password and resetting it. Thanks to "Gramtrans" that never let me go away from Wordpress.

Well, if somebody ask me a question that why did i choose wordpress over blogspot/e-blogger tool , my answer would be "it just happend".

Yes, I had no intention of writing a blog in wordpress. But I liked the themes and other blog tools that are very user friendly .. Well, i created few posts in wordpress then realized "ohh !! i want to change the name of my blog page url", till that time it was very late .. and I missed e-blogger.

Well as of now i can conclude that I want to move to e-blogger .. the reasons, advantages and disadvantages of both the blog tool are as below :

Wordpress vs. E-Blogger
1. Nice themes, Uses the webpage space very nicely
2. Userfriendly dashboard (categories, tags, pages etc..)
3. NO functionality to export blog for e-blogger . I thought of exporting my existing blog to e-blogger. But found that e-blogger doesn't support the wordpress format. My idea to have same blog (one on wordpress and one on e-blogger) failed.
4. No functionality to publish blog posts through Emails. E-blogger is blocked in my office to prevent us from blogging. But what an idea, u mail your post on the email ID (mentioned in blog settings) and it will be published.. This was best feature i liked to see in wordpress
5. Now, I need to change my blog url's name. Say "haddhai.wordpress.com" .. how do i do that ?? no way, e-blogger give you this option.
6. Comments .. You cannot allow anonymous comments on your blog in wordpress. Your friends/family should have a wordpress account in order to post comments. E-blogger allows even anonymous to send comments (obviously you can disable it too)
7. HTML format, doesn't allow me to add my youtube playlist :(
8. Widget .. too less :( , I wanted to have more "TEXT" widget .

Filmy ... and me ??

Hey.. many times i encountered with this situation when my friends called me "FILMY" .. But i oppose, I am not filmy ..

I don't watch movies or you can say, I don't want to waste my time in watching 2-3 hours of movie that includes around 2 hours of stale masala plus few minutes of good scenes.. I rarely go to cinema theatres, say once a year .. Then why am i filmy ??

Hmmm probably I watch them all on Television or my lappy. Movies channels are always not my preference while watching tv, and in lappy my preference is playing games or doing something technical ...

Well, if somebody has watched only 5 movies in lifetime then one must be "SHOLAY" .. similarly, 4 others could be some superhit movies by Dilip kumar, Rajesh khanna, Raj kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan or Madhubala, Meena kumari, Rekha, Sri devi, Madhuri dixit .. These are the movies that impacts our brain to such extent that we keep on finding ourself facing the same situation in real life... We remember the dialogue or actions that actor/actress performed in that movie ..
Everybody has this habit , so do i !!! and yes, I am filmy along with everybody else in this world ...

Why Antakshari is always played when we go for outing ? Why we laugh when somebody mimic movie actors/actresses (not lalu yadav, amar singh, advani or bajpayi) ?? Why do people relate SRK with Airtel or Dish Tv (not othr struggling models in fashion word ) ?? Why your friend circle mostly plans to go cinema theatre after buking a college lecture ?? The answer is same, because we all are filmy .. some people show it and they are filmy, some people doesn't and they aren't ..

Well, I have a toolbox .. a toolbox to deal with some situation .. it has many tools ..
If i talk with a kid, I try to be a kid of that age and make him happy , thats my Kiddu-Tool ..
If i need to explain something to such person who is very influenced by movies .. then there is no better tool that "Filmy-tool" .. I saw it worked best in many situation .. No wonder, if i use it on you , but please don't call me "FILMY" .. ;)

DJ Par Naachu !!

Dev gan soye hue the aur Rajasthan me shaadiyo ka season ekdum manda tha .. Ab un par kya rok tok jo love marriage, ya court marriage karte hai .. :)

Well, Diwali chali gayi aur shaadi ke invitation cards ki barsaat hone lagi har ghar me .. Mere mamoo ki shaadi 20th Nov,09 ko thi aur uska badi besabri se hum intezaar kar rahe the ..  Uske aaspaas aur bhi itni shaadiya thi ki lage haath saari shaadiya attend ki ..

Ab jaha shaadiya hogi, waha music aur dance masti to hogi hi .. DJ ka fashion aajkal har shaadi me sir chad kar bol raha hai .. Shahnaayi bechari kone me apne budhaape ko ro rahi hai , dholak kahi bagal me oongh raha hai .. Band baaje apne aap ko itra rahe hai ..  DJ jaha hoga, waha par yeh ek common question hota hai ... host kaun banega ?? who is performing ?? and on which song ?? ..

Is function purane jamaane me "mahila sangeet" aur aadhunik yug me "Geet Gunjan" ke naam se sambodhit kiya jata hai ..  Purane jamane me sirf ladies milkar dholak bajati aur geet gaati ..  Ab to yeh haal hai ki Shaadi ka reception ya dulhe ki sajawat badhiya ho na ho , Mahila sangeet (sorry, Geet gunjan) jaroor uccha koti ka hona chahiye .. Reception ke din khaane ko bhale hi makke ya baajre ki roti se kaam chala lenge, lekin Geet gunjan me chappan bhug hone chahiye ..

It can also be considered as a "Trailer" of a movie, Ise dekhkar ladies yeh idea lagati hai ki Shaadi ke baaki functions kaise honge aur unme aane ka koi fayda hai ya nahi ...

Well, jin logo ko is function ke baare me pata nahi, unki jaankari ke liye bata du ki yeh Shaadi ke 1-2 dino pahle hone wala woh formal function hai, jisme ghar ki bahu, betiya (aur program ke end me dulhe ke dost ya dulhaan ke bhai ke dost)  dance perform karti hai .. DJ wale ko order diya jata hai , he comes with the big speakers (no limit how many u order) , Dance floor with flash lights , a good collection of CDs (or Computer) ..  Special Nashta tayyar kiya jata hai guest ladies ke liye .. Ek host hoti hai (in most of the cases) aur she hosts the whole program with some jokes, some incidents about relatives, poems, sher-o-shayaris etc. . Host mostly collects the list of songs to be played in some kind of order for the dancers ..

Ab Rajasthan me geet gunjan ho , to gaane ki choices kya kya hogi .. ?? Hmm, Bollywood hits (for the teenage aur unmarried girls) , Rajasthani Folk songs (for Bua, Chachi, Maami, and other bahu/betiya of the family) , Punjabi Bhangda (Jab masti ka mahaaul ban jaaye, aur saare family wale maidaan me kood pade) , English (what ?? who plays that .. yes, Brazil is exception.. Lafadi dosto ki to yahi choice hoti hai .. )..

Now, there is a special song was the most played song durng that weddng season .. and the award goes to "DJ Par Naachu ..." , I don't even remember how many times i listened to that song in variuos weddngs (i think 200, no it shud be 500 above, forget it .. ) .. Agle 2 weeks tak mere kaano me shaadi ke dhol ki jagah "DJ par Naachu" hi baj raha tha ..

First post of your Blog .. ??

Well, this could be very difficult for many first time bloggers to write their first blog .. Its not that difficult !!!

Write anything .. yes, anything !!!

If you are worrying about what to write , then following ideas could be useful ..

1. How did you hear about blogs ?? what was your first impression when you heard about blogs ?? Who suggested you to write a blog ?? or Why did you choose to write a blog on wordpress or blogspot etc. ?

2. Write about yourself. Its not necessary to be in English .. Write in any language you are comfortable with.

3. Write about your hobbies, passions, fav. tv shows, fav. movies, music, sports, news etc. etc.

4. Write about your family or friends .. Write about your colleagues .. Write about your exams, jobs, coaching

5. Write about the recent incident you encountered with ..

and so on .. .

Need any other suggestion ?? Throw a comment on this post and i will suggest you more ... :)

And yeah ... you can write about "What to write in your first post" same as i did .. ;)
